Extrudates

All these extruded profiles are made of 100% EPDM and therefore they are tough and long lasting besides being temperature resistant DSO® profiles are ozone resistant and hence do not develop cracks.

Solid extruded rubber profiles are available in different hardness ranging from 50° to 90°.. shore A as per your requirement and application. These profiles are also known as dense EPDM profiles.

Sponge EPDM profile provides soft and anti vibration quality while optimizing material usage. These extruded profiles fit easily into the cavities and keep the air, dust and water out effectively.

In many sealing applications two materials of different hardness are required. The solid EPDM is usually used for gripping where as the Sponge EPDM behaves as a seal.

In addition to the two materials of different durometers to be joined together to form one part, many a times a flexible metal strip is also inserted for a firm grip.

In certain applications, for example in acoustic chambers & genset canopies, where compression set is important and because the sponge seal will eventually take a permanent set, the seal part is also made of EPDM dense rubber. However for a tighter grip, a metal insert is provided in the form of a wire or strip with in the profile.

Wherever there is a sliding action of glass against a metal surface is involved, nylon coated EPDM profiles are used. These nylon coated profiles are also called flocked profiles. Once flocked, these profiles attain a special anti-friction quality that ensures smooth sliding of the glass.
